Rentzy is a marketplace that connects people who own equipment or spaces with people who want to rent them for a day, a week or a few hours.
Who it is for
Renters, private owners and rental businesses
Renting
Anyone aged 18 or over with an account can search listings, send booking requests and pay through Stripe. Browsing does not need an account.
Hosting as a private owner
Private owners list gear from the Rentzy iPhone app, set their own prices and decide which requests to accept. Payouts go through Stripe.
Hosting as a rental business
Businesses apply for Rental Business status in the app, and Rentzy reviews each application. Approved businesses get a public business page and a Verified Rental Business badge.

What Rentzy does
- Shows listings, prices and calendars that owners maintain.
- Takes the payment through Stripe and releases the owner’s payout after the rental completes.
- Places a refundable security hold where one applies. See Fees and pricing.
- Keeps messages, handover photos and reviews in one place, and reviews disputes from both sides.
What Rentzy does not do
- It is not a party to the rental agreement between owner and renter, and it does not own the listed gear or guarantee its condition.
- It does not provide insurance or guarantee that a rental is covered by insurance.
- It does not guarantee availability: a booking is confirmed by the owner, or instantly on hourly slots that offer it.
