Ask Ren

Got a plan? Ask Ren!

Tell Ren what you are planning in your own words. Ren turns it into a search of real listings on Rentzy and shows you what fits, so you do not have to guess which gear to look for.

Ren needs you to sign in, and asks before sending your words to Google Gemini. Nothing is sent until you agree.

Ren the raccoon, the Rentzy assistant

What it is

A search assistant, not a seller

Ren reads your plan, picks search words and filters, and runs them on the same catalog you can browse. It does not choose listings for you, does not make up prices, and does not promise that anything is available.

How to describe your task

Write it the way you would tell a friend. The more of these you mention, the closer the results:

  • What you needThe kinds of gear for your plan, for example chairs, tables or a projector.
  • Dates and timesA day or a date range, and start and end times when they matter.
  • WhereA neighborhood or city to look in.
  • BudgetA maximum per hour, day, week or month, or for the whole plan.
  • PeopleHow many guests, which can set how many chairs or tables to look for.
  • Pickup or deliveryWhether you can pick things up or need delivery.

What you get back

  1. Found listings

Real, published listings from the regular Rentzy search, grouped by the kind of gear. Each shows its price with the unit and a short reason.

  2. Estimate

When you give dates, Ren can show how many are free and an approximate cost for the days, from the owner’s rate. It is an estimate: the exact total, with the Rentzy service fee, is calculated on the listing when you pick the dates.

  3. Owner-confirmed booking

Nothing is booked by Ren. You open a listing and send a request, and the owner accepts it. Only instant hourly slots confirm without the owner. Availability is final at that step, not before.

Demo example

What a request can look like

Demo, not a real request

Example request

“Birthday party for 20 kids on Saturday, under $300.”

Ren would read this as a party for 20 guests with a $300 budget and look for the usual party gear, one group at a time. Below are live listings from the catalog for the same words, found by the regular search, to show the shape of the result. Ren’s own picks, availability for your Saturday and the estimate appear only when you ask it.

What Ask Ren does not do

What Ren sends to Google Gemini, and why, is explained in the Privacy Policy. The price breakdown is on Fees and pricing.
